A Bundesliga Superstar Has Admitted He Would Struggle To Refuse Manchester United

Hakan Calhanoglu has said that he would find it difficult to turn down Manchester United, according to Metro.

The Leverkusen star, 22, has been subject of much speculation since joining the German outfit backed by a colossal pharmaceutical company but has previously pledged his commitment to Roger Schmidt’s side.

However, the Turkish international has disclosed that there are a number of clubs who would turn his head, one of them being the Red Devils.

Calhanoglu has been strongly rumoured with a switch to Chelsea after the Blues sold Oscar to Shanghai Shenhua for £60 million, a fee that would definitely persuade Leverkusen to part ways with their playmaker.

Known for his spectacular free-kicks and creative genius on the ball, Calhanoglu would be a huge asset to United should the Red Devils decide to move for the attacker.

The former Hamburg youngster told Lig TV:

‘Barcelona and Manchester United are huge clubs it would be different to turn them down but I have not said anything about any transfers or anything of the sort,’

Leverkusen may be struggling to compete with the best in the Bundesliga in ninth place, but that has not stopped Calhanoglu from impressing in Germany – he’s been directly involved in eight goals in thirteen appearances.

Haberturk has claimed that the player is keen on a move to Chelsea, but Antonio Conte’s side have not met Leverkusen’s valuation of the player with a reported £17 million bid.

United could still swoop, but with Chelsea’s heavy war chest in the market ready to be unlocked, they will want to move quickly if they hope to secure Calhanoglu’s services.
