Animated Gingrich Says Americans Will Soon Need A Microscope To Find Obama’s Legacy

“He’ll get a nice portrait in the White House.”

That’s what Newt Gingrich said will be President Obama’s enduring legacy after he leaves office.

Gingrich said Obama — who made a series of sweeping changes using unilateral executive actions that can be quickly undone — will have one of the smallest presidential “legacies” of all time.

The former Speaker of the House made the comments to Fox News anchor Sean Hannity. An animated Gingrich compared Obama to one of those air-filled dolls “that shrinks and shrinks.” He happily added that by the time Easter rolls around Americans will need a microscope to find Obama’s legacy.

“It will almost be as if he didn’t exist for the last eight years,” Hannity observed.

Gingrich reminded: “No, he’ll get a nice portrait in the White House. All presidents get nice portraits.”

Gingrich said Obama’s legacy will virtually disappear shortly after Donald Trump takes office. Trump has already vowed to repeal and replace Obamacare within the first 100 days of his presidency.

Aside from Obama’s eponymous health-care law, what else is there of his legacy? Gingrich wondered.

This is like one of those dolls where you watch the air come out of it, and it shrinks and shrinks. By the time you get to Easter the ‘Obama legacy’ is going to be so small you’re going to need a microscope to find it.

No president in my lifetime — maybe no president in modern history — will have had as small an impact as Barack Obama.

Many on Twitter disagreed, saying Obama will leave behind a tremendous legacy: of incompetence, war-mongering, policy failures and wasted money.

Some said the Obama legacy will include the numerous scandals that occurred during his eight years in office.

Some wondered when Obama and liberal media will blame Russia for the Democrats losing so many seats in the House and the Senate.

Others noted that Obama — who was given the Nobel Peace Prize just 11 days after he took office partly for his efforts at “reaching out to the Muslim world” — was the greatest champion ISIS could have ever hoped for.
